One day (mid-July) after a rain, I stopped by the pond to see what was happening!   There were a few young birds flying around the cattails trying to dry out and grab something to eat!  I didn’t know what species these were, so I went home and did a little research.  Turns out, they are young red-winged blackbirds!  Maybe next year, I will be able to snap a great photo of the adults!
